The Coven Murders opens with a horrifying account of a ritual Black Mass with a human sacrifice in an abandoned church. Twenty-one years later, near an old ruined church in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Chief Inspector Sheehan and his team discover the skeleton of a young woman. But what seems initially to be a straightforward case, brings the team into conflict with a powerful Satanist who has plans to offer up to Satan another human sacrifice on the evening of the great Illuminati feast of Lughnasa.
Amazon Reviews:
“Yes, it is frightening. And yes, it is disturbing. But then, it is always frightening and disturbing when men are willing to go to any lengths to fulfill their personal ambitions, regardless of the consequences. This book will keep your eyes glued to the page until the very end. I highly recommend it, along with the first two in the series, and hope Brian O’Hare has more in the works!”
“The Coven Murders is a brilliantly crafted mystery that left me on the edge of my seat right up to the last page.”
My Review:
Five out of five stars
This story caught and held my full attention from the very first scene. I felt like I was right there with the characters as they struggled to comprehend an enemy with ties to the supernatural realm. I’m not sure this is one you’ll want to read at night however. Made me want to look over my shoulder a time or two, afraid the devil himself might be after me. Whether you enjoy murder mysteries or paranormal genres, I guarantee you’ll connect with The Coven Murders. A solid five out of five stars. Brian O’hare is definitely one of my favorite new authors.
Thanks, Denna. Fabulous comments. I’m honoured. Brian O’Hare
