Kimi Wicker’s life takes a terrifying turn when she and her two best friends are abducted by aliens and whisked off to a hostile world. Once there, Kimi learns she is being punished for the actions of her supposed mate, an alien vampire she met only briefly right before this nightmare began.
Before he abandons them to their own defenses, the scariest of the aliens converts Kimi to vampire, leaving her two friends behind as food. He says he doesn’t expect either of them to survive her first bloodlust, but this monster doesn’t understand the strength of true friendship. He made another mistake in allowing Kimi to take her feisty tabby cat with them. Hexa is a proficient hunter and just might prove key to their survival.
Pride caused Neyvarre to foolishly leave his new mate unprotected, and now Kimi and her two friends are in the hands of his most hated enemy. All he knows for sure is that they no longer reside on Earth. With the help of another Hunter and his tracker, they begin the daunting task of trying to find them before the worst can happen.
“There’s never a dull moment in this novel, which features violence, treachery, interplanetary travel and steamy love scenes. This paranormal romance’s sci-fi element provides an intriguing twist…particularly true in scenes set on Laizahlia, where the introduction of new characters with different motivations adds new wrinkles to the plot.” Kirkus Reviews
Amanda Cross barely survived when she and her best friend were abducted by aliens. After her rescue, she is told returning to Earth is no longer an option. She must learn to accept her fate, and Tallyn, the man who claims to be her fated mate. But nothing ever goes according to plan. Amanda learns the hard way that werewolf politics carry their own set of rules, rules that could prove detrimental to her life and limb.
Tallyn is the son of the pack’s alpha. His father expects him to mate a strong shifter female one day and take over rule as alpha, but during a rescue attempt, he recognizes Amanda as his fated mate. Tallyn knows his father will never accept a human within the pack, but perhaps there is more to Amanda than first meets the eye.
Calem, a tracker who assisted with Amanda’s rescue, claims to know a secret about her. She might not be fully human, but this new information does little to ease Tallyn’s concerns. There is a legend among his people about a white wolf with blue eyes, the Ghost Warrior. If allowed to live, it is said she will bring about the annihilation of their people. Because of this, all females born with white hair and blue eyes are killed shortly after birth.
Amanda also has white hair and blue eyes. If she shifts into a white wolf, it won’t matter if the legends are true or not. Tallyn knows his people will kill her, and his father will be leading the pack.
“This book was one of those that is difficult to put down…. The pace is perfect, not too slow to feel like it is dragging out, nor did I ever feel like the author was rushing me through the story. I found that the climax of the story was very fitting.” Ramona Plant- Amazon review
“A gorgeous medley of dystopian-fantasy female empowerment with fierce survival skills. Holm captures action-packed scenes that lead the narrative to its astounding ending…” Lisa Kaela- Amazon Review
Jessica is excited about starting college in the fall, already enrolled at the University of Oregon. Every year before school starts, she and her father spend a week camping, but this year is special, because her best friends go with them. She has no way to know they will all be walking into a nightmare straight out of a horror movie.
Eighteen years before, Jessica’s mother died under mysterious circumstances right after giving birth to her. Her dad refuses to talk about it, though his eyes grow haunted every time the subject comes up. All Jessica knows is that it was a violent death. Her answers will come from a stranger, one who knows far more than he should.
Nethaniel is a Lycaeonian from the planet Laizahlia, a wolf shapeshifter. He is taking his first trip off world with his father when he runs across Jessica flyfishing at a lake. Though it shouldn’t be possible, he recognizes her immediately as his fated mate. Unfortunately, Nethaniel’s father has enemies, and three have followed them to Earth, vengeance on their minds. Jessica and her friends are considered little more than collateral damage.
Elena Murphy is left devastated when her fated mate rejects their union. She believes Gabriel is embarrassed to be paired with a weak, halfbreed vampire from Earth. But when two human children under her care are abducted by alien Slavers, Elena will do anything to get them back, even swallow her pride to beg Gabriel for help to rescue them.
Gabriel, an ancient Hunter from the planet Laizahlia, has spent thousands of years searching for his fated mate, his eillelé, the one who carries half his soul. He finally finds her in Elena, but she is also half human. If he claims her, his council will force him to convert her fully to vampire, and he knows she might not survive with her mind intact. Rather than risk her life or sanity, he chooses to walk away . . . until two children under her care are taken by Slavers.
Gabriel’s council and Slavers won’t be the only dangers they face in their quest to find the missing children. When Gabriel learns Djinn are involved, he knows their odds for success will be extremely low.
“Heart of a Warrior is a gripping and thrilling fantasy book. The vampire theme and twist in the story are exciting and held my interest. The author is able to engineer some creative scenes that make the unique character both charming and scary at the same time. Following the part about the missing children was scary and fascinating given they had potential threats like the Council and Slavers. Gabriel is a great character whom every reader will, eventually, empathize with. Heart of a Warrior is action-packed, with events that are unbelievable, but you don’t care, and characters who were perfect for their roles.
Every character had some sort of superpower which felt balanced and not overused. They were able to face their obstacles and even confuse the enemies for a while. I appreciated the odd, but well constructed, love story in this book. This novel combines a bittersweet love, a vampire story, and some fantastic characters that really carry this story. This is the fourth book in the ‘Immortal Warriors’ series but I didn’t feel lost and I think anyone can jump into the series from here. You will love the conversations between characters as they are witty and humorous. The plot was epic and the entire story entertaining.” — Literary Titan
Carla has spent her entire life trying to avoid powerful aliens from another world. She doesn’t know how they always manage to track her down. There are two types: vampires, and wolf shifters, werewolves. Of the two, the vampires scare her the most. Her skin tingles whenever one of them closes in on her position, alerting her it is time to run again.
Azrael, an ancient Hunter for the Laizahlian Council, is sent to Earth to track down three rogues from their world. What he doesn’t expect is to run into his lifemate, a female he has spent thousands of years trying to find. Carla is a halfbreed vampire, which shouldn’t be possible. His kind doesn’t breed with humans. Answers prove difficult to come by when she attempts to run from him. Their journey will take them into the Fae realm, where Azrael is not certain he can protect his weaker mate.
Thrust into the role of alpha in a cougar shifter pack, Raif’s biggest concern is to keep his outdated elders in line. Though Raif has always known about the alien vampires and wolf shifters who occasionally enter their lands, they have never been a serious problem . . . until now. When one of their elders finds a wounded female wolf shifter in their mountains, Raif must save her or risk bringing down the wrath of her vampire partner on their heads. What he doesn’t expect is to recognize his fated mate in the female. Cougars and wolves don’t mix.
While tracking rogues for her assigned Hunter, Haven is wounded and left defenseless in the mountains of Oregon. She wakes confused in the home of an alpha cougar shifter, his scent wreaking havoc on her system. Her first instinct is to bury her fangs in his shoulder, claiming the young alpha as her mate. Only later does she realize her mistake, fully aware their union can never work. Her people will never accept him, and his will never accept her.
But fighting against their own people’s prejudices won’t be Haven and Raif’s only obstacle. There is still a dangerous vampire rogue running loose, and Haven’s Hunter is nowhere to be found.
“Holm masterfully crafts the character arcs of both Raif and Haven. Raif’s battle to assert his leadership while being torn between tradition and instinct showcases his internal conflict, making him a compelling protagonist. On the other hand, Haven struggles with her identity and feelings of rejection from her mate while under pressure to find her missing partner. This dual conflict of self-discovery and romantic tension keeps readers emotionally engaged. Their interactions simmer with attraction and tension, adding complexity to the push and pull between them.
The balance of romance, action, and emotional depth is a standout feature of Savage Warrior. Holm weaves external threats, like the looming danger of a rogue vampire, with the simmering passion between Raif and Haven. This creates a high-stakes environment that blends supernatural intrigue with raw emotional drama. The supporting characters further enrich the story, offering a glimpse into the complexities of pack dynamics and the challenges of interspecies relationships, making the world-building immersive and multi-layered.
For fans of paranormal romance, Savage Warrior offers a richly developed world filled with shifters, vampires, and djinns. Holmes’ strong lead characters and intricate plot make this an irresistible read for anyone who enjoys being swept away by supernatural conflicts, sizzling romance, and the fight for leadership and love.” –– LITERARY TITAN
